William J. Smith has a renowned and distinguished career as an investigator and security consultant to government, industry and educational sectors for the past thirty years. He has conducted and supervised major investigations for Fortune 500 companies both nationally and internationally. His private sector experience includes executive level investigative and security functions with a particular emphasis in developing programs for several Fortune 500 companies to nullify threats against senior management and/or facilities. He has been selected as the on call Security Consultant to the State of Connecticut DPW as well as several school districts nationwide. He is the Principal Instructor of the AmericanSchoolSafety.com training programs and co-authored the “Security Evaluation & Planning Guide” which has been requested and distributed to over 5,000 school districts in the United States and Canada. He is a member of the Board of Directors of CALPI.

RALPH A. DIFONZO, Jr.

A nationally known expert in criminal investigation and retired Special Agent of the FBI, Ralph A. DiFonzo, Jr., has been featured on numerous television and radio programs for his extensive knowledge of profiling fugitives and criminal investigations. He has served as a commentator and consultant to a number of major media outlets regarding ongoing high-profile criminal cases to include NBC’s The John Walsh Show; America's Most Wanted; Fox News Channel; Court TV; ABC's 20-20; and NBC's Hidden Treasures. Relying upon 30 years’ experience investigating violent crime cases throughout the United States and internationally, Ralph initiated and supervised the Connecticut Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force. Previous assignments included Los Angeles, California and Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition to his investigative skills, Ralph was and remains involved in police training where he instructs varied and specialized courses including Major Case Investigation, Instructor Development, Crime Scene Investigation, Fingerprint Classification and Identification, Crisis Management and Negotiation and Interview and Interrogation. Ralph is also a consultant to businesses, schools and corporations regarding Crisis Management, Hostage Survival and School/Workplace Violence.

GREG ALBANESE
Director, Electronic Countermeasures and Counter Surveillance Unit
A former Deputy Chief Investigator for the District Attorney of Westchester County, NY and Chief Technical Investigator for the Inspector General of New York City, Mr. Albanese has a total of twenty-seven years of solid experience in both law enforcement and high technology security fields. He was previously contracted and assigned as a technical security consultant to the Port Authority of NY and NJ, the World Trade Center and JFK Airport airside access security system prior to 911. He has also conducted threat assessment and countermeasure consulting for the United Nations Headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, and New York City, the Time Warner Center and the 92Y facility NYC.

JOHN H. DEWEY, CPP
Senior Investigator, Corporate Investigations
A consummate professional investigator with 20+ years of domestic and international corporate investigative and security experience, John H. Dewey supervises major case investigations and is responsible for development, direction and oversight of all corporate security and safety programs, international travel and executive protection programs for the firm. Prior to joining Jennings Smith in 2008, he was employed by the Phoenix Life Insurance Company as their Director for Safety and Security. John is a retired Lieutenant, Connecticut State Police where he managed two different Major Crime Squads (Western District and Central District), each comprised of 33 detectives, sergeants and support staff in homicide and major case investigations. Most notably, he planned, organized and implemented the first formal State Police recruitment unit. He personally trained and equipped 30 State Troopers as recruiters to seek qualified candidates throughout the entire United States, resulting in the most minority Troopers ever hired. As a result of his leadership and commitment to the program, he was recognized as the "Outstanding Manager of the Year".
DANIEL J. SIVORI
Special Investigator, Operations Manager
An experienced and exceptionally qualified Investigator and Security Consultant, Daniel J. Sivori recently retired from the Connecticut State Police as a Detective assigned to several key investigative units; FBI Connecticut Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force, Connecticut State Police Fugitive Task Force, and the State Police Extradition Unit. During his Law Enforcement Career, Dan was the recipient of numerous Awards and Honors including; The Connecticut State Police Medal of Honor, The Medal of Valor (New England Chiefs of Police), Trooper of the Year (IACP), The Law Enforcement Oscar (AFL-CIO), Meritorious Service Award (Police Commissioners of Connecticut), and Outstanding Service Medal awarded by the Connecticut State Police. As our Firm's Special Investigator and Operations Manager, Dan conducts and supervises investigations for Corporate, Legal and individual clients. Additional assignments include: Supervisor; Live Scan Digital Fingerprinting Unit serving the Financial, Health Care, Education and Transportation industries. Executive Protection Team: Provides advance party location scouting and assessment, transportation and logistics, event security, and office/ residential security and safety management planning for high profile clients.
CHARLES J. WALSH
Special Consultant
Charles J. Walsh has a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of investigations, forensic evidence collection, preservation and analysis. He has utilized his knowledge to train over 20,000 law enforcement officers on the federal, state and local levels in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. A nationally recognized expert in fingerprint identification, his instruction has enabled law enforcement officers to be qualified as fingerprint technicians and court qualified experts. As a Special Agent with the FBI, he supervised numerous investigations, including, organized crime, extortionate credit transactions, kidnapping, bank robberies, theft from interstate shipment, interstate transportation of stolen property and motor vehicles, and crimes on government reservations. While serving with the FBI, Mr Walsh established an Evidence Response Team (ERT) in the Boston Division to conduct high-profile crime scene investigations. As a result of this initiative, the Director of the FBI ordered all 56 FBI Field Divisions to organize an ERT. Under Mr. Walsh's leadership, the Boston ERT investigated the World Trade Center bombing, the bombing of two American military complexes in Saudi Arabia, the Atlanta Olympic Games bombing, and the explosion aboard TWA Flight 800.

Bo Mitchell served as the Police Commissioner of Wilton, CT for 16 years. He retired in February 2001 and has worked with our firm since 2006 to assist our Corporate and Educational sector clients in the development and implementation of Facility Emergency Action Plans, OSHA Standards Compliance, and Business Continuity Programs. He provides Workplace Violence Training seminars as well as situational response and infrastructure testing for our client's senior management and employees. Bo has earned 16 certifications in homeland security and organizational safety and security. He is court qualified and has testified as an expert in landmark court cases nationally. Bo is a Certified Business Continuity Professional, a Certified Emergency Manager and is American Board Certified in Homeland Security Level 5.
ED KARDAUSKAS
Senior Security Consultant
Ed Kardauskas is a former Captain with the City of White Plains, NY, Police Department where he served as the commanding officer of the Uniformed Operations Division, the Burglary Squad, the Crime Prevention Unit, and the Training and Special Projects Division. During his career he served as the senior incident commander at thousands of crime scenes and major incidents. He is a graduate of both Manhattan College and the FBI National Academy, and the fifth person worldwide to earn all 3 American Society for Industrial Security board certifications — Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and Professional Certified Investigator (PCI). He is also a certified locksmith and has served as an expert witness on lock penetration evidence and techniques in major criminal trials.
He has written core security policies and procedures for major companies, managed the national security communications center and contract and proprietary security forces for a national corporation, and designed and managed the installation of the physical, electronic, radio communications, fencing, gates, and medical rescue systems for over $40 million in new corporate construction in recent years. He has designed risk assessments, security audits, key performance indicators, reporting tools, and metrics used to gauge and report the status, performance and effectiveness of security personnel and programs throughout the country and to present those results to executives. He also headed multiple software selection and implementation projects and served as co leader of a major business continuity planning project.
JOHN R. GRIFFIN

A former U.S. Army Colonel assigned to the Special Forces, John R. Griffin has a distinguished career as consultant in counter-terrorism, security and investigations, worldwide. He has an experienced practitioner's knowledge of the customs and protocols of international business, police, and military entities. Operational experience includes assignments with the Central Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, Secret Service, State Department, FBI, and state and local police agencies. He has numerous commendations from the FBI Director, and the governments of Canada, Israel, the People's Republic of China, the State of Kuwait, and the United Nations. Recently he served as a special consultant to the United Nations while providing security for the U.N. Inspection Team operating in Iraq and Kuwait. John overviews international investigations and special situation cases for the company.
