School Safety Audits and Assessments Services
Services include our holistic approach to addressing procedures products and people as they relate to a secure and safe educational environment. This approach will better ensure a consistent District-wide approach to the overall security and safety process.
School Safety Audits and Assessments Specific Services:
We will provide comprehensive physical facility security audits conducted by licensed security professionals. These professionals will utilize proven facility audit tools in reviewing neighborhoods, grounds and recreation areas, external and internal facilities and parking areas. These audits will result in identification of recommendations to address physical security and safety issues as well as recommended priorities so a systematic approach to resolving the deficiencies can be undertaken.
- An assessment will be conducted of current facility procedures and policies to identify recommendations for enhancement.
- Specific recommendations in priority order for maintenance and replacement to address critical and important product deficiencies.
- Schematics and facility drawings will be reviewed to ensure they are up to date and that procedures are in place to make them available to emergency response teams as required.
- Interviews of targeted staff members to solicit inputs and insights pertaining to security. This can benefit the overall process by enlisting their involvement and participation and in developing future communications to the organization.
- Access to leadership behavior experts to assist Principals, Vice Principals and targeted leaders to review leadership techniques for enlisting effective participation by staff and getting their active participation in supporting the facility security and safety plan.
- An assessment will be conducted of current security products by security system expert (door hardware/access control, key, locking systems, security products design and application, ADA compliance, CCTV, alarms, fire systems and security lighting) to ensure proper application, operation and linkage to each other. This assessment will also include development of current product specifications that will help increase future purchasing efficiencies and address best available cost estimates for purchase and installation.
- Detailed security product assessments with updated specifications for design and placement of security equipment; cost analysis for upgrades, recommendation for enhancement of current security products and systems, operation and annual maintenance requirements.
- Site based In-Service training for School Administration, Teachers and Staff; and members of the school Emergency Response Team. Our instructors are; POST Certified, FEMA or FBI Trained experts in these areas and have conducted numerous training sessions for youth serving professionals throughout the USA.
Deliverables from our School Safety Audits and Assessments Services:
- Documentation (pictorial, written and CD ROM) of findings with recommended priorities to address noted deficiencies.
- Audit findings in both an executive summary and a detailed review with recommended action plans and time lines for effective follow up.
- Guidelines for Safe Schools and Emergency Management for presentation in binder format including both Administrator and Teacher manuals.
- Recommended training materials and processes to support plan implementation.
- Process and plan for conducting security and safety drills to ensure ongoing support and compliance with establish procedures.
- Security and Safety leadership techniques and processes for targeted principals, vice principals and staff leaders as it pertains to facility security and safety.
- Presentation materials to be used in communicating with target audiences, as you deem appropriate.
- An ongoing security and safety plan that can be managed by facility leadership in ensuring an ongoing process. This plan will include a schedule for periodic reviews; milestones and desired metrics to track plan success and areas for enhancement.
- Presentation of final report.
School Safety Audits and Assessments Optional Services
- TacticalVR Interactive Virtual Floor Plans for Emergency Planning, Training and Response. Maps, databases and high definition images are merged into a quickly deployable computer based system. Provided to Police, Fire and First Responding Agencies for conducting non invasive security and safety training. Allows First Responders to pre-visualize an operational environment and test response protocols.
